Ye Jianying

1897 - Born on the 28th of April at Meixian, a country in North Eastern Guandong Province Republic of China.

1919 - He graduated at Yunnan Military Academy.

1927 - He joined the communist party in China.

         - He participated in the failed Nanchang Uprising (the first major Communist engagement of the

           Chinese Civil War.

1932 - He joined the Jiangxi Soviet formally called the Chinese Soviet Republic. 

         - He served as Chief of Staff of Zhang Guotao's ( leader of the Communist Party of China) Fourth Front Army.

1978 - He became the chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress.

1986 - Died on the 22nd of October in Beijing China.
