1969 - awarded with honorary degree from Nihon University in Japan

1973-1974 - Around these years, he supported the Arab oil embargo against the United States and the oil-price rises of the 1970s, which bought great wealth to Saudi Arabia.

1975 - also received an honorary degree from Osmania University in India
