1870 - Born in Dayton, Ohio; birth of one of the aviation pioneers.

 

 

1878 - First build glide airplane.

 

1880-1890 - Published a newspaper and formed the Wright Cycle Company (provider of bicycles) alongside his brother.

 

 

1893 - Brotheers sell and fix planes.

 

 

1896 - Learned about the early European experiments in sustained flights and caught the interest of starting out the aviation.

 

 

1900-1902 - Building planes for tests.

 

 

1902 - Encountered a problem as they had a hard time finding an engine light and powerful enough for their plane invention.

 

 

1903 - With Wilbur Wright ,His older brother, co-invented 1st airplane(1st heavier than air flying machine).

 

 

1903 - On the 17th of December, made the first successful flight in a self-propelled heavier-than-air craft.

 

 

1907 - Had a contract with US Army Signal Corps to build an airplane which is two-seater.

 

 

1909 - Delivered the two-seater airplane.

 

 

- Established their American Wright Company.

 

 

1930 - Received the first Daniel Guggenheim Medal for his great achievements in aeronautics.

 

 

1936 - On the 29th of April, he became a member of the National Academy of Sciences

 

 

1948 - Dies of a heart attack in Dayton, Ohio
