Wolfe, George C.
1954 - Born on September 23rd in Frankfort, Kentucky. American theater director and producer.
1979 - Moved to New York where he got a masters degree in theater arts from New York University.
1986 - Recipient of a CBS/Foundation of the Dramatists Guild Playwriting Award for his play "The Colored Museum".
1990 - Was the resident director at the Public Theater.
1993 - Was the producer and artistic director of the New York Shakespeare Festival and the Joseph Papp Public Theater.
1996 - Received a Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical for Bring in 'da Noise, Bring in 'da Funk.
2003 - Wolfe directed the acclaimed and unusual musical Caroline, or Change by Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori.
