Wayne, David
1914 - David Wayne, born on the 30th of January in Traverse City, Michigan. He was a Tony Award-winning American actor with a career spanning nearly half a century. He attended Western Michigan University then worked as a statistician in Cleveland where he joined a Shakespeare repertory company.
1948 - 1949 - He moved to Los Angeles though his movie credits go back to Portrait of Jennie and Adam's Rib.
1975 - 1978 - Among his many television roles were the part of Inspector Queen in the Manfred Lee's "Ellery Queen", series and of "Digger" Barnes in "Dallas".
1977 - He was the first to receive a Tony award for acting.
1995 - He died on the 9th of February in Santa Monica, California.
