1925 - He moved to New York to become general counsel and manager of Comerford Theatres.

 

1931 - He became a founding member of the Roosevelt for President Society.

 

1932 - President Roosevelt named him treasurer of the Democratic National Committee.

 

1933 - Named the National Emergency Council, as executive secretary Democratic National Committee.

 

1940 - He entered the Roosevelt cabinet.

 

1945 - Serving as Postmaster General

 

       - He was named an alternate delegate to the first United Nations General Assembly meeting.

 

1959 - He died on the month of September 13, at the age of 73 in New York City.
