1939 – He was born on June 9 of this year in Passaic, New Jersey.
1963 – He took his first job as a coach at Mark Twain Elementary School in Garfield, New Jersey.
1973 – Then he then served as an assistant coach before being hired by the University of Detroit to become its head coach.
