1915 - Born on the 24th of August.

1941 - She was a graphic artist and a painter, and an art critic for the Chicago Sun.

1942 - She joined the US Army and worked in the Air Intelligence division.

1946 - She was discharged from the military.

         - Her first story was published on the 16th of November issue of The New Yorker, and credited to "Alice Bradley" in the magazine itself, but to "Alice Bradley Sheldon" in the magazine's DVD index.

1952 - She and her husband were invited to join the CIA.

1955 - She resigned as she wished to return to college.

1957-1959 - She studied for her bachelor of arts degree at American University.

1967 - Achieve a doctorate at George Washington University in Experimental Psychology.

1967 - She adopted the pseudonym of James Tiptree Jr.

1987 - Died on the 19th of May, at age 71, Sheldon took the life of her 84-year-old, nearly blind husband and then took her own.
