Sterling, George

1869 - Born in Sag Harbor, Long Island New York on the 1st of December.

1890 - Sterling eventually followed him to the Bay Area.

1909 - Inspiration for character Russ Brissenden in Jack London's novel "Martin Eden".

1926 - Died on the 17th of November, Sterling committed suicide by swallowing cyanide at his residence at the San Francisco Bohemian Club.
