1587 - Myles Standish was born.

1602 - He was commissioned as a lieutenant, while presumably still in his teens.

1620 - After the Pilgrims hired Standish as Military Captain for the voyage to America, he was soon to be one of the members to sign the Mayflower Compact at Cape Cod on the 11th of November.

1621 - On the 17th of February, he was appointed the first commander of Plymouth colony.

 

1620-1625 - Leader of Plymouth colony.

 

1632 - He was also one of the founders of the town of Duxbury, Massachusetts.

1644-1649 - Standish was also the treasurer of the Colony of Duxbary, which was named after the original Standish estate in Chorley, England.

1656 - Died in Duxbury Massachusetts on the 3rd of October.
