Yakov Naumovich Pokhis

1951 - Born on the 24th of January.

1977 - He came to the U.S.

1986 - Became an American citizen on the 4th of July.

1987 - He  had a starring role in a television sitcom titled "What a Country".

1992 - He played a Russian cab driver studying for the U.S. citizenship tes, he has been a fixture in Branson, Missouri.

2002 - He played himself in a King of the Hill episode entitled "The Bluegrass is Always Greener" which aired.

2006 - In May, Smirnoff received a master's degree in positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.

         - Yakov has taught classes at Drury University along with Missouri State University in this topic.
