1934 - William Forsyth Sharpe, born on the 16th of June. He is the STANCO 25 Professor of Finance, Emeritus at Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
1970 - He joined the Stanford faculty, having previously taught at the University of Washington and the University of California at Irvine.
1970 - 2007 - He has also written seven books, including Portfolio Theory and Capital Markets, Asset Allocation Tools (Scientific Press), Fundamentals of Investments (with Gordon J.
