1892 - Born on the 1st of September in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

1914 - He graduated college at Harvard University.

1917 - He graduated a degree of Doctor of law in Harvard Law School.

          - He served as a First Lieutenant United States Army, during and after World War I.

1920 - He became "Alderman" (a  member of a Municipal assembly or council in many jurisdictions) in

              Newton, Massachusetts.

1921 - He served as a Assistant District Attorney of Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

1922 - He was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

1929 -  He became Speaker of Massachusetts House of Representatives.

1939 -  He was elected as a Governor of Massachusetts.

1944 - He was elected to the United States Senate.

1948 -  He was re-elected to the United States Senate.

1954 - He was re-elected for the fourth time to the United States Senate.

1979 - He died on the 17th of June at the age of 86.
