1942 - Born on October 29th in Daytona Beach, Florida. An American painter and television presenter. He spent a 20-year career with the U.S. Air Force in medical records, stationed mostly in Alaska, before his painting career and television program made him famous worldwide.
1961-1981 - He joined the United States Air Force.
1983 - Bob Ross hosted the instructional program "The Joy of Painting". Ross' calm speaking voice, colorful descriptions and trademark orange afro turned him into a cultural icon.
1995 - He died on July 4th in New Smyrna Beach due to Lymphoma.
