1939-1945 - He appeared in the films "Don't Fence Me In", Hollywood Canteen", "Song of Nevada", "The Yellow Rose of Texas", "Young Bill Hickok", "The Carson City Kid", Young Buffalo Bill", "Dark Commander" and "Southward Ho".

1947 - Married Dale Evans on December 31st. They had 2 children.

1948-1950 - He appeared in the movies "Melody Time", "Twilight in the Sierras" and "Trigger Jr.".
1951-1957 - He starred in the television series, "The Roy Rogers Show".

         - He starred in the film " Son of Paleface".

1980 - Elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame as a member of the Sons of the Pioneers.

1991 - He undergone a heart bypass operation.

1995 - Inducted (as a member of the Sons of the Pioneers) into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.

1998 - Died on July 6th in Apple Valley, California due to heart failure. His remains were buried in Sunset Hills Memorial Park, Apple Valley, California.
