1861 - Born on October 4th in Canton, New York. Illustrator at the turn of the century, he depicted idealized visions of the Old West. Remington is most famous for one of his 25 bronzes, "The Bronco Buster".

1884 - Married his wife Eva Caten on October 1st.

1947 - He was the subject of the book "Frederic Remington: Artist of the Old West" by Harold McCracken.

1878-1880 - He graduated from School of Fine Arts in Yale University.

1895-1902 - He wrote the books "Pony Tracks", "Crooked Trails" and "John Ermine of the Yellowstone".

1909 - He died from complications of surgery on December 26th in Ridgefield.
