Somdej Phra Chao Boromawongse Ther Krom Phraya Jainad Narendhorn
1885 - Somdej Phra Chao Boromawongse Ther Krom Phraya Jainad Narendhorn or Prince Rangsit, born on the 12th of November as the 52nd child of King Chulalongkorn and the second child of Chao Chom Manda Nueng (MR.Nueng Snidvongs), the 22nd wife of the King. He was the Thai Founder of the Public Health Ministry and Prince Regent.
1899 - At the age of 14, he was sent to Germany for his education.
1905 - Martineum gymnasium in Halberstadt where he graduated with Abitur and later Heidelberg-University in Heidelberg.
1908 - He additionally studied philosophy.
1912 - It was during his study that he met his wife, Elisabeth Scharnberger, whom he married.
1913 - He worked on improving Siam’s Health Care System.
1932 - Following the Siamese coup d'état, he did not involve himself in politics, but was nevertheless seen as a threat by Pro-Fascist military government of Major General Phibunsongkhram, which arrested the Prince under charges of Treason.
1943 - On the 28th of September, having been jailed for 4 years and 9 months, he was released by the Phibun-government (1 year prior to the release of other political prisoners).
1946 - Since the new king at first planned to finish his education abroad, he was appointed as Regent on June.
1947 - Appointed as chairman of the Supreme Council of State.
1951 - He died of a heart attack while in bed, at Vidyu palace on Wireless road, Bangkok on the 7th of March.
