1915 - Pitts made her stage debut and was discovered two years later for films by pioneer screenwriter Frances Marion, appearing obscurely in vehicles for such Paramount stars as Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford.

1918 - She claimed that Rudolph Valentino taught her to dance while appearing together in the film A Society Sensation.

1920 - She met and married potential matinée idol Tom Gallery and paired up with him in several films.

1933 - Married to John E. Woodall on October 8th.

1956 - Starred in the television series, The Gale Storm Show as Elvira Nugent.

1963 - Died of cancer on June 7th in Hollywood, California.

         - Was an excellent cook and a collector of candy recipes, which culminated into a cook book entitled "Candy Hits by ZaSu Pitts", which was published posthumously.
