1809 - Albert Pike, born on the 29th of December in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. Son of Benjamin and Sarah (Andrews) Pike, and spent his childhood in Byfield and Newburyport, Massachusetts He was a Lawyer, journalist, and soldier.

1831 - Left New England to seek his fortune in the West.

1837 - He taught at schools, wrote for and later owned an Arkansas newspaper, and was admitted to the bar.

1850 - He took a break from the law to serve in the Mexican War, and he had become a popular poet as well as a successful lawyer.

1859 - He was a prominent Freemason, he headed the S branch of the Scottish Rite until his death.

1862 - He obtained a brigadier's commission in the Confederate army and commanded Indian troops at the battle of Pea Ridge.

1863 - A dispute with a superior led to his arrest and then his resignation.

1872 - He rewrote the rituals in a book, Morals and Dogma of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.

1891 - Died on the 2nd of April in Washington, D.C., aged 81, and was buried at Oak Hill Cemetery.
