1967 - Born on April 16th in New Haven, Connecticut.
1985 - Graduated from New Trier High School.
1991 - She returned to Chicago and was dared by Chris Brokaw to record a demo. She recorded three cassettes, a total of 32 songs, and these tapes became known as Girly Sound.
1993 - Released her debut album, Exile in Guyville, and was produced by Brad Wood.
1995 - Withdrew from the spotlight, and got married to film editor Jim Staskausas.
1998 - Released her third album, titled "whitechocolatespaceegg", after some delays, which included a disagreement about content.
2001 - Divorced Jim Staskausas.
2003 - Collaborated with Michael Penn and the Matrix, came up with a more radio-friendly sound and released her self-titled album Liz Phair.
2005 - Released her fifth album, "Somebody's Miracle".
