Paquin, Anna Helene
1982 - Anna Helene Paquin born on the 24th of July in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She is an Academy Award-winning Canadian-born New Zealand actress.
1993 - She is the star of several major motion pictures, including her first Oscar winning performance in The Piano.
- On Oscar night, Anna Paquin was the surprise (and surprised) winner of the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She stood, wide-eyed and gulping for breath at the microphone for a full twenty some odd seconds before delivering a gracious, though rather breathless thank-you speech.
1994 - 1995 - Attended Hutt Intermediate School from, where she completed Form 1 and 2.
1996 - Got the role of the young Jane in the film Jane Eyre.
- And the role of Amy Alden in the charming family film, Fly Away Home.
2000 - She graduated from Windward School in West Los Angeles, California in June and completed the school's community service requirement by working in an LA soup kitchen and at a special education center.
- Returned to worldwide prominence with her role as Rogue in the blockbuster X-Men movie.
2001 - She studied at Columbia University for one year, but has since been on a leave of absence in order to continue her acting career.
- She acquired New Zealand citizenship.
2006 - In the summer, she completed filming Blue State which she also executive-produced.
- In November, she completed Margaret, scheduled for release by Fox Searchlight in 2007.
