Ozawa, Ichiro

1942 - Born on the 24th of May in Mizusawa, Iwate Prefecture.

Attended Keio University, majoring in Economics.

1969 - Elected to the Diet of Japan and becoming a strong supporter of Kakuei Tanaka and his faction.

1985-1987 - Served as Japanese Home Affairs Minister.

1989-1991 - Secretary-General of Liberal Democratic Party.

1993 - Co-founded Japan Renewal Party(also Shinseito).

1994-1995 - Founder and 1st Secretary-General of New Frontier Party.

1995 - Served as the leader of New Frontier Party.
