Oparin, Alexander Ivanovich
1894 - Born on the 2nd of March in Uglich, Russia.
1917 - He graduated from the Moscow State University.
1924 - He put forward a theory of life on Earth developing.
1935 - He founded the Biochemistry Institute by the USSR Academy of Science.
1939 - He became a Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
1969 - Became Hero of Socialist Labour.
1970 - He was elected President of the International Society for the Study of the Origins of Life.
1974 - Received the Lenin Prize.
1979 - He was awarded the Lomonosov Gold Medal for outstanding achievements in biochemistry.
1980 - He died on the 21st of April.
