54 BC - Octavia was married to Gaius Marcellus, by whom she had two daughters and a son.

40 BC - On the death of Marcellus, she was married to Marcus Antonius (Mark Antony), who at the time was ruling the Roman state with Octavian and Marcus Aemilius Lepidus.

37 BC - At first this marriage helped to reduce tensions between Antony and Octavian, and, when the two rulers quarreled, Octavia brought about peace between them, which resulted in the Treaty of Tarentum.

36 BC - Antony left Italy to command troops in Parthia and while in the East resumed his liaison with the Egyptian queen Cleopatra.

35 BC - Octavia brought troops and money to him in Parthia, but he refused to see her.

32 BC - Antony obtained a divorce.

23 BC - After the death of her son Marcellus, she withdrew from public life.

11 BC - She died.
