O'Connor, Mary Flannery
1925 - Born on the 25th of March in Savannah, Georgia.
1942 - She entered Georgia State College for Women, where she majored in English and Sociology.
1946 - She was accepted into the prestigious Iowa Writers' Workshop.
1951 - She diagnosed with disseminated lupus and returned to her ancestral farm in Milledgeville.
1955 - She published her work "A Good Man Is Hard to Find" and Other Stories.
1964 - She died on the 3rd of August due to complications from lupus.
