1880 - Born on the 15th of June in Kochi,Kochi Prefecture.

1913 - He studied at Harvard Law School in Cambridge,Massachusetts.

1920 - He became a Military Attache to the United States.

       - He achieved the rank of Admiral and was appointed to the Navy General Staff.

1930 - He attended the London Naval Conference.

1935 - He subsequently served as the chief naval delegate to the London Naval Conference.

1936 - He was appointed Minister of the Navy under Prime Minister Koki Hirota.

1937 - He was appointed  as a  Commander in Chief of Combined Fleet.

1941 - He became Chief of the Naval General Staff.

1943 - He was promoted to Fleet Admiral.

       - He kept his position as Chief of the Naval General throughout the majority of World War II.

1945 - He arrested by the American Occupation forces.

1947 - He died on the 5th of January because of heart attack.
