1938 - Russell Myers, born in Pittsburg, Kansas, and raised in Oklahoma. He is an American cartoonist.

1970 - Best known for his newspaper comic strip Broom-Hilda, originally came from writer Elliott Caplin, brother of cartoonist Al Capp, who described the character to him.

1975 - He received the National Cartoonist Society Best Humor Strip Award.
