1912 - Born on June 18th in Denver, Colorado. Glenn Morris was the fourth Olympic athlete to play Tarzan.

1936 - He was the decathlon champion and won the Sullivan Award (outstanding amateur athlete of the year) over the more famous Olympian Jesse Owens.

1938 - He made a few films, including the features Tarzan's Revenge and the comedy Hold That Co-ed.

1974 - Died on January 31st in Palo Alto, California at the age of 61.
