1947 - Born in Dallas on the 27th of November.

1967 - He moved to Los Angeles in 1967 and formed a group known as both Meat Loaf Soul and Popcorn Blizzard.

1970 - His most famous for the supremely theatrical best-selling album Bat Out of Hell, Meat Loaf has been acting almost as long as he has been singing.

1971 - He and a fellow castmate named Stoney teamed to record the  LP Stoney & Meat Loaf for Motown's Rare Earth imprint.

1975 - He made his movie debut as the ill fated Eddie in the flop turned midnight movie classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

1976 - He also handled vocal duties on one side of Nugent's LP Free-for-All. Soon, Meat Loaf reteamed with Steinman for a tour with the National Lampoon Road Show, after which Steinman began composing a musical update of the Peter Pan story titled Never Land.

1977 - His music took precedence with the release of Bat Out of Hell.

1980 - He managed to make several albums, none of them came close to Bat Out of Hell's popularity.

1982 - The vehicle Dead Ringer.

1993 - After several years in relative obscurity, Meat Loaf and Steinman reunited in for Bat Out of Hell IIhe returned in

1995 - Steinman had registered the phrase "Bat out of Hell".

2004 - On the 22nd of Februar, during Meat Loaf's Australian tour, Meat Loaf did his classics with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, entitled Meat Loaf  Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

2006 - Meat Loaf sued Steinman and his manager, in a complaint filed on the 28th of May in federal District Court in Los Angeles, California, for $50 million and to prevent further use by the writer/producer. Steinman and his representatives attempted to block the album's release.
