1967 - He moved to Los Angeles in 1967 and formed a group known as both Meat Loaf Soul and Popcorn Blizzard.
1970 - His most famous for the supremely theatrical best-selling album Bat Out of Hell, Meat Loaf has been acting almost as long as he has been singing.
1971 - He and a fellow castmate named Stoney teamed to record the LP Stoney & Meat Loaf for Motown's Rare Earth imprint.
1975 - He made his movie debut as the ill fated Eddie in the flop turned midnight movie classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

2006 - Meat Loaf sued Steinman and his manager, in a complaint filed on the 28th of May in federal District Court in Los Angeles, California, for $50 million and to prevent further use by the writer/producer. Steinman and his representatives attempted to block the album's release.
