McManus, George

1884 - Born in St. Louis, Missouri on the 23rd of  January.

1905 - He created his first comic strip but in 1905 he left his hometown to accept a job in New York City with the prestigious New York World newspaper.

1913 - His comic strip would be syndicated internationally by King Features Syndicate, and produced by McManus.

1954 - Died on the 22nd of October in Santa Monica, California and was interred in the Woodlawn Cemetery in The Bronx, New York.
