         - She joined a drama ensemble and later signed on with the Ateneo Theatre Group.

1943 - Masina was gaining notice as a radio actress.

1948 - Masina's first screen credit was the film Without Pity, opposite John Kitzmiller.

1954 - Starred in movies "La Strada".

1956 - "The Nights of Cabiria".

1957 - She won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her portrayal of the title role in Nights of Cabiria, as a prostitute who endures life's tragedies with innocence and resilience.

1985 - "Ginger and Fred".

1994 - Died from cancer on the 23rd of March, at the age of seventy-three.
