1971 - Ricky Martin born Enrique Martín Morales on the 24th of December in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

1984 - He was 12 years old, he became a member of Menudo. For the next five years, he was the lead singer of the group, helping it to become an international sensation.

1991 - Recorded his first album, Ricky Martin, which included the single "Fuego Contra Fuego". The album has sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.

1993 - Released his second album Me Amarás which sold more than a million copies worldwide.

1994 - He joined the cast of the soap opera General Hospital, playing Miguel Morez in December. His recurring role was so successful that it landed him a role on Broadway, where he played Marius in Les Miserables.

        - Moved to Los Angeles, California. He received a role as bartender (Miguel Morez) in the American soap opera General Hospital.

1998 - He was chosen to sing the anthem of the FIFA World Cup, the famous hit "The Cup of Life"/"La Copa de La Vida" that became a hit, reaching #1 on the charts in 60 countries.

1999 - Prepared his first English album. The self-titled album contained material by producers such as Desmond Child, Dianne Warren, William Orbit and his long time childhood friend (producer/singer) Robi Draco Rosa.

2005 - Released his first English language album. Most of the songs on the album, called Life.

2006 - He performed at the World Cup Fan Party in Berlin (Brandenburger Tor) on the 7th of June, and at Lebanon's Beiteddine Festival on the 27th of May at the BIEL seafront hall in Beirut and on the 28th of May in Egypt.
