1917 - Born in Steubenville, Ohio. Dean Martin was famous in many aspect, beginning with his comedy partnership with Jerry Lewis in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
1941 - Married to Elizabeth Anne McDonald on October 2nd.
1946 - He teamed up with comedian Jerry Lewis.
- Became a dramatic actor and the star of a long-running television variety show.
1949 - Married to Jeanne Martin on September 1st.
1953-1955 - He recorded singles "That's Amore" and "Memories Are Made of This".
1958 - Won a critical acclaim for his role in The Young Lions with Marlon Brando and Montgomery Clift.
1960-1964 - Martin learned well and proved potent at the box office throughout the 1960s, with films such as Bells Are Ringing and Robin and the 7 Hoods, again with Rat Pack pals Sammy Davis Jr. and Sinatra.
- One of his best remembered films is in Ocean's Eleven, in which he played Sam Harmon alongside the other members of the legendary Rat Pack: Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford.
- He recorded his blockbuster hit, "Everybody Loves Somebody", which beat the Beatles to become the No. 1 hit in America for one week.
1965 - Had his television variety series, "The Dean Martin Show", which ran on NBC for eight years.
1970 - He starred in movies "My Friend Irma" (1st of 16 movies opposite Jerry Lewis), "The Young Lions" (as Michael Whiteacre), "Rio Bravo" (as Dude), "The Silencers" (as Matt Helm), "Airport" (as Vernon Demerest).
1973 - Married to Catherine Hawn on April 25th.
- He was the host of the "Dean Martin Celebrity Roasts".
1991 - Diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
1995 - Died from lung cancer and emphysema on December 25th in Beverly Hills, California.
