Marsh, Charles
1765 - Born on July 10th in Lebanon, New London County, Connecticut. American lawyer and Federalist politician. Representative from Vermont.
1786 - Educated under private tutors and was graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hemisphere.
1788 - Studied law in the law school of Judge Reeves at Litchfield, Connecticut and was admitted to the bar then commenced the practice of law in Woodstock, Windsor County, Vermont.
1797 - Appointed by President Washington United States district attorney for Vermont.
1809 - A trustee of Dartmouth College.
1815 - Elected as a Federalist to the Fourteenth Congress.
- Representative from Vermont.
- Founder of the American Colonization Society while in Washington and resumed the practice of law in Woodstock, Windsor County, Vermont.
1849 - Died on January 11th in Woodstock, Vermont.
