1880 - Born on the 2nd of August.
1901 - He graduated at Columbia School of Law.
1916 - He was appointed by President Thomas Woodrow Wilson (28th US President) as Judge of the United
States District Court for the Southern District of New York.
1918 - He was promoted to the "United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit" (the federal appeals court
for New York, Connecticut, and Vermont).
1931 - He became the Senior Circuit Judge of the Court, equivalent of the Chief Judge today.
1939 - He resigned as Senior Circuit Judge of the Court due to corruption rumors.
- He was the first Judge impeached for corruption.
- He was sentenced to two years in Lewisburg federal prison and served 17 months.
1946 - He died on the 17th of November.
