1963 - Karl Malone, born on the 24th of July in Bernice, Louisiana. He is an American former professional basketball player. He was nicknamed in college as the Mailman for his consistency ("the mailman always delivers") and his work in the post. Malone won the NBA Most Valuable Player award twice.

1985 - 2003 - For 18 years, He and point guard John Stockton were the twin stars of the NBA's Utah Jazz.

1985 - The Jazz drafted him out of Louisiana Tech.

1990 - He as the power forward was one of basketball's biggest stars. At 6'9" and about 250 pounds, he also was known for having one of the NBA's most magnificent physiques.

       - Married Kay Kinsley on the 24th of December. With 3 daughters and 1 son.

1996 - 1997  -He was named the NBA's most valuable player.

2002 - 2003 - He signed with the Los Angeles Lakers, joining LA's existing stars Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal.

2004 - 2005 - Injuries hobbled him during the season.

2005 - He retired midseason, on the 13th of February.
