Patrick Macnee

1922 - Born on the 6th of February, in London, England.

1942-1956 - First marriage to Barbara Douglas.

1959 - He became an American citizen, two years before returning to England to make The Avengers.

1961-1969 - Known as the inimitable secret agent John Steed in the series The Avengers.

1965-1969 - His second marriage was to actress Kate Woodville.

1983 - He took over Leo G. Carroll's role as the head of U.N.C.L.E. in The Return of The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

1984 - He appeared in Magnum, P.I. as a retired British agent who believes he is Sherlock Holmes.

1987 - He wrote his autobiography entitled Blind in One Ear. 

1988 - He has been married to Baba Majos de Nagyzsenye, his third wife.

1996 - He also featured in two pop videos: in his Steed persona in The Pretenders' video Don't Get Me Wrong, and in the Oasis' video of their song Don't Look Back In Anger.

1998 - He lent his voice in a cameo as 'Invisible Jones' in the critically lambasted film version of The Avengers.
