1902 - She lived as a socialite and travelled widely, turning to poetry after being inspired by a performance of Eleonora Duse in Europe.

1910 - Her first published work appeared in Atlantic Monthly.

1912 - Lowell was suggested to be lesbian, and she and actress Ada Dwyer Russell were speculated as lovers.

1925 - Lowell died of a cerebral hemorrhageon the 12th of May at the age of 51.
