1955 - Walter Lord wrote the definitive book on the sinking of the Titanic. "A Night to Remember" is a riveting account of the tragedy and heroism of that fateful April night.
1957 - He followed that book with other historical narratives, including Day of Infamy, about the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
1982-1986 - Wrote "The Miracle of Dunkirk" and "The Night Lives On".
2002 - Walter Lord died of Parkinson’s Disease at age 84 on May 19th.
