1960-1970 - He built the Marlborough Gallery into an international art-world force with branches in New York, London, Rome, Zurich and other cities.

 

1971 - His career ended in disgrace after the Rothko art scandal broke.

 

- He was accused of wasting the assets of the estate of Abstract Expressionist Mark Rothko.

 

- He died on the 7th of April at his home in Nassau, the Bahamas.
