1928 - Born in Havana on the 14th of September.
1960 - He was a photographer for the Cuban newspaper Revolución when he took the famous image.
1968-1978 - He concentrated on underwater photography.
2000 - He sued Smirnoff over the use of the image in advertisement.
2001 - Korda suffered a fatal heart attack in Paris while presenting an exhibition of his work. He is buried in the Colon Cemetery, Havana died on the 25th of May.
