King, Joshua
1816 - Joshua King was a sizar at Queens' College.
1819 - He graduated as senior wrangler, winning the Smith's Prize.
1828 - He argued the position that the president of Queens' College did not have the authority to participate in the election of fellows of the college. He lost the appeal in a decision by Lord Lyndhurst.
1832 - King was president of Queens' College.
1833 - He was vice-chancellor of Cambridge during the academic.
- He was the president of the Cambridge Philosophical Society.
1839-1849 - Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge University.
- He was elected to the Lucasian professorship and resigned, giving no lectures and publishing no papers.
