King, Henry
1832 – He was born on the 26th day of May this year in Ireland.
1854 – He came to the Pacific Coast this year, and "went to the mines in Amador County, where he spent one year, and the following year came to Los Angeles.
1860 - He was married September 12th of this year, to Helen Costin of New York State. They had three sons and five daughters (Lewis).
1878 – He became the third chief of police in Los Angeles, California.
1880 – He served two terms of more than two years each from December 11th of this year up to December 11, 1881, to June 30, 1883.
