         - He is considered a perfect desk worker, Keitel finds himself chained to the immense bureaucratic duties incumbent upon him as Hitler's Chief of Staff at OKW.

1946 - Keitel is nevertheless found guilty of aiding Hitler to commit a war aggression, and of endorsing war crimes and crimes against humanity.

         - He was hanged and died on October 16th Nuremberg, Germany.

1961 - He was the subject of the book, Generalfeldmarschall Keitel: Offizier oder Verbrecher?.
