1989 - Born on the 22nd of December in Staten Island, New York.

         - She is the daughter of Jodi Wiedmann and Phillippi Sparks, a former NFL football player for the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys.

2002 - In March she's also performed several times with "Vaudeville Youth Theatre Company" and "Valley Youth Theatre" in Phoenix.

         - She was "Coca Cola's Rising Star".

2003 - She auditioned with "American Juniors" and "Star Search".

         - Glendale Youth Fest 2003 she won the  Teen Talent Show, 1st Place.

         - Sparks recorded a five-song album titled "For Now" with Matthew Ward, a Christian music artist, and Gary Leach.

2004 - Sparks appeared in "America's Most Talented Kids", and won on her first appearance.

         - She won the “Overall Spotlight Winner” for the GMA Academy.

         - She appeared in a compilation album titled "Live at Mr. Lucky's".  

2006 - She won the Arizona Idol contest.

2007 - On the 23rd of May, she was declared as the new American Idol.

         - She was a Runner-up in the "Drug Free AZ Superstar Search".
