1847 - Born on the 5th of September in Clay County, Missouri United States of America.

 

1863 - At the age of sixteen he joined the Quantrill's Raiders an irregular guerrilla group of the Civil War.

 

1866 - He joined the gang who first armed robbery of a bank in peacetime, holding up the Clay County Savings Association in the town of Liberty located at the Clay Country Missouri U.S.A.

 

1868 - He joined with his old friends in outlawry, when they joined "Cole Younger" (who was a famous Confederate Outlaw during and after American Civil War) in robbing a bank in Russellville, Kentucky U.S.A.

 

1873 - He turned to train robbery, derailing the "Rock Island" train (a Class 1 Railroad in the United States, in Adair, Iowa U.S.A.

 

1876 - His gang attempted their most daring raid to the "First National Bank" in Northfield, Minnesota U.S.A.

 

1879 - He returned to crime, holding up a train at Glendale, Missouri United States.

 

1882 - On the 3rd of April he was shot by Robert Ford, at the back of his head which resulted to his instant death.
