Huerta Márquez, José Victoriano
1854 - Born on December 23rd in Colotlán, Mexico. dictatorial president of Mexico, whose regime united disparate revolutionary forces in common opposition to him.
1911-1912 - After the revolution of Francisco I. Madero he aided the new president, who, reluctantly, made him commander of the federal forces.
1913 - He plotted secretly with Madero's enemies, including United States ambassador Henry Lane Wilson, and overthrew the president.
- Became the president of Mexico.
1914 - Steady insurgent military pressure forced Huerta to resign in July.
- He fled to Europe and returned to the United States, where he was subsequently arrested for revolutionary activities.
1916 - Died of cirrhosis of the liver on January 13th in El Paso, Texas.
