1892 - Huch became the first female student admitted to the University of Zurich. She studied history, philosophy, and philology, and earned a doctorate in history.

1907 - Married to Ruchard Huch.
- She had long been in love with her cousin and brother-in-law, Richard or Ricardo Huch, but their eventual marriage did not end happily.
1931 - She was also the President of the first Congress of German writers in Berlin and the first woman to be admitted to the Prussian Academy of Literature.
1947 - Died on November 17th in Schönberg (now Kronberg im Taunus), Germany.
