1981 - Paris Whitney Hilton, born on the 17th of February in New York City. She is an American celebrity, socialite, actress and recording artist.

         - She is an heiress to a share of the Hilton Hotel fortune, as well as to the real estate fortune of her father Richard Hilton.

2000 - At 19, she signed with Donald Trump's modeling agency, T Management.

2001 - Began to develop a reputation as a 19-year-old socialite, being identified as "New York's leading It Girl" whose fame was beginning to "extend beyond the New York tabloids".

         - She also appeared in cameo roles in films such as "Zoolander".

2002-2003 - She was engaged to fashion model Jason Shaw.

         - She rose to fame when a home-made sex video of her and Rick Solomon was leaked onto the Internet.

         - The premiere of her Fox reality series "The Simple Life" attracted worldwide attention.

2004 - Her sex video, subsequently called "1 Night in Paris" was later released on DVD and Hilton received directorial credit.

         - Began working on an album and her self-titled debut, 'Paris', was released on August.

         - She released an autobiographical book, "Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose", co-written by Merle Ginsberg, which includes full color photographs of her and gives her advice on the life as an heiress.

         - She was involved in the creation of a perfume line by Parlux Fragrances.

         - Established her own record label, Heiress Records.

2005 - As an actress, she has appeared in several minor roles, most notably in the horror film "House of Wax".

         - Her role as Paige Edwards in "House of Wax" won the Teen Choice Award for "Best Scream" and earned her a nomination for "Choice Breakout Performance – Female".

         - The film, "1 Night in Paris" earned three AVN Awards, including "Best Selling Title of the Year".

         - In May, she became engaged to Paris Kasidokostas Latsis, the engagement was called off five months later.

         - Lent her name to a chain of nightclubs known as Club Paris.

2006 - She landed her first lead roles with the straight-to-DVD releases "National Lampoon's Pledge This!" and "Bottom's Up".

         - In May, she began dating another Greek shipping heir, Stavros Niarchos III, her publicist Elliot Mintz informed the press Paris and Stavros had broken up.

         - In September, she was arrested and charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content of 0.08%, the minimum at which it is illegal to drive in California.

         - Her drivers license was subsequently suspended in November.

2007 - Released her fourth perfume called Cancan in October.

         - She pled no contest to the alcohol-related reckless driving charge. Her punishment was 36 months' probation and fines of about $1,500.

         - On the 15th of January, she was pulled over for driving with a suspended license and signed a document acknowledging that she was not permitted to drive.

         - In February, she obtained a temporary injunction against ParisExposed.com, closing down the website.

         - She was caught driving 70 MPH in a 35 MPH zone, again with a suspended license.

         - On the 4th of May, she was sentenced by Judge Michael T. Sauer to 45 days in jail for violating her probation.

         - On the 3rd of June, after attending the MTV Movie Awards, she checked herself into the Men's Central Jail of the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles at 11:38 pm PDT.

         - Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca signed orders on the morning of June 7th, reassigning her to 40 days of home confinement with an electronic monitoring device due to an unspecified medical condition.

         - British reggae band UB40 started legal action against her and Warner Chappell Music for plagiarism due to similarities between the song "Stars Are Blind" and their 90' song "Kingston Town".

2008 - She has several upcoming theatrical releases in which she is the lead role, including "The Hottie and the Nottie", and an untitled superhero movie involving Stan Lee.
