1880 - George Joseph Herriman was born on August 2nd in New Orleans, Louisiana. An American cartoonist famous for his Krazy Kat comic strip.

1902 - Herriman married Mabel Lillian Bridge on July 7th.

1913 - He created comic strip "Krazy Kat" which was originally "Krazy Kat and Ignatz".

1934 - His wife, Mabel, died in a car accident. Five years later, his daughter Bobbie died at age thirty.

1944 - Krazy Kat was appearing in only a handful of newspapers.

         - Herriman's art had suffered a bit, due to arthritis. On April 25th, George died in his sleep.
